Broken JG skorpions part II

Okay it took a while for the bits and pieces to come in but I think we have what would we need to fix these punks. Lets go through our list.

1.Torx bit screw driver
2. small philips screw driver.
3. hammer and rod (knocking loose the pin)
4. nine ball bushings.
5. nine ball piston.
6. Dremel
7. Michael Jackson Bad album vinyl LP. ( Billy Joel will work to)

Now lets start. First get that hammer or smashy thingy and rod to knock the pin out of the body. This will be about the only thing holding the upper receiver to the lower receiver.
You should be able to slide the upper receiver forward with nothing attached. The fire selector will fall right off so be careful to not loose it. because I did.
Now there unscrew the the plastic what you ma call it covering the novel from the receiver. There should only be on screw holding it in.
Once you got that piece off you can slide the gear box out and disconnect the wires from the handle.
There we go that was easy. Now lets get frustrated as hell and open up the gearbox. There will be only 4 screws holding the puppy together. This is where the torx bit comes in handy.
Be sure to member where everything went or else your gonna have a frustrating time. One thing you might noticed is that these AEP boxes have 4 gears rather than 3. So don't forget that 4th gear lol. cause I did. Now after investigating every piece I found the problem.
The piston broke off a piece holding the shiny metal bit in. Luckily replacing this requires no cutting or shaving. Simply unscrew the head and screw it into the new piston. Also if you haven't flipped the record now will be a good time to do so.

About the bushings I will I could say the same, so I hope you got your dremel charged.
Get out a dremel bit that can fit in the bushing hole and began shaving it down by running the bit around the hole in a steady motion going round and round. After a few seconds of shaving try fitting the bushing. If you are able to add all 8 bushings that congrats you have 8x more patience then I do.

Putting this back together should be easier than a normal gearbox since the spring has a lot less tension then an aeg. GL to yah and dont wreck your gun in the proccess. This has been another half assed repair guide. (now 25% less ass!!)

Two broken JG Skorpions

Recently i was browsing ebay and I found myself a fun new project. I bought myself 2 JG AEP (Automatic Electric Pistol) skorpions. These pistols are a great alternative than gas auto pistols, also I can duel wield these when I'm done. So when  the package came in I was excited as i always am when getting something in the mail that aint bills or spam. So they were broken, how hard could it be to fix them?

Crap.... The gearbox was in pieces and I had have no clue what im doing. So I took a look at the one that was not in pieces and give it a charge and shot.

Of course it didn't fire So I tried the a few things before performing surgery like testing the battery, checking the wires, hitting it, calling it names, and even tried giving it an hour in the hole but to no affect.

So now we are forced to open them up and preform surgery, but before I do, I decided to order  some new bushings because one was missing from the gearbag. So Tune in next week while I wait for my bushings to ship from butt fuck china and I will start the disassemble and get to the guns working, or im out 40 bux.

Game Mode: 'Assimilation'

[Here's an example of an Assimilation game]

Assimilation is a free-for-all-type game.

Before the game begins, all players determine their unique call sign. This can be your name, gamer tag, etc. All players start at the same area. On go, players parlay for 2 minutes while they spread out and hide. When the whistle is blown you may open fire.

If you get hit, call your hit and hold your hand up where you are. You are now a 'free agent,' and can be tagged in by another team. The player who tags you will yell out their team name. You are now on that team. Now if you tag another player, yell out your new team name.

The game is over when all players are eventually assimilated into one team.

Here are some basic tactics/strategies:

  • There IS friendly fire so it's a good idea to yell out your team name before firing.
  • It's also a good idea to respond when allies yell out your team name or they may light you up.
  • Sneaky players MAY pretend to be on your team so be alert...
  • It's a good idea to group up to avoid confusion, friendly fire and trickery.
There are a couple of variations to this game:

  • Players start alone
  • Or depending on the number of players, start in 2's or 3's.

Game Mode: 'Cookie Jar'

[Here's an example of 'Cookie Jar' toward the end of the video]

Cookie Jar is a capture-the-flag-type game.

Players split into 2 teams with a container at each spawn point. There is also a container in the middle of the field filled with coins. The object of the game is to grab coins from the middle and drop them off at your spawn point. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

There are 3 types of coins, each with different values:

  • Large platinum = 3 points
  • Diamond rings = 2 points
  • Gold coins = 1 point

***Players may carry only ONE coin at a time***

If you're hit, tag your spawn point and you're back in the game. If you're hit while holding a coin, drop it back in the middle container and go back to spawn.

There are a couple of variations to the game:
  • Game is over after a time-limit
  • Game is over after a certain number of points

And last but not least, here are some strategies:
  • Suppress the enemy when going for the gold
  • Have someone 'lock down' the box when the rest of your team is out / going to base
  • Control the high ground
  • Teamwork is critical

Game Mode: 'Rat Race!'

[Here's an example of 'Rat Race!']

'Rat Race!' is an operation.

All players team up into pairs. 2 of the players are the 'rats.' 1 rat carries a locked box with a whistle inside. The other rat has the key. The goal for each team is to bring the whistle back to spawn and blow it to end the game.

The rat's job is to annoy players as much as possible by hiding, evading, shooting players in the back and even taunting them! Players need to steal items from the rats to win, but the rats can steal them back as well. The rats aren't on a team, but they have been known to work together from time to time.

If you are shot, call your hit and hold your hand up. You can be tagged in by a teammate; if so, you are immediately back in the game. If you and your teammate are both out at the same time, stand back to back and count to 30 seconds out loud. Rats count to 30 to spawn in.

***You may NOT spawn camp a downed team***

If you're holding an objective and you get hit, hold it over your head until you are back in (rats included). You may NOT hide objectives -- if you get one, you must hang onto it. The ONLY exception is you may leave the box behind after it is unlocked and someone has the whistle.

***Remember, you may ONLY blow to whistle to win if you are standing in the spawn point***

New Video: Marines Airsoft Montage

[Week 4][01/27/13]

The weather took a turn for the worse which caused a smaller turnout this week. Luckily one of our regulars brought his marine buddies -- and they brought the thunder with them! This was the marine's first time airsofting but they didn't show it; their tactics and superb teamwork made for some epic footage. Don't forget to like the video and subscribe to our YouTube channel!

Also, due to the Superbowl we will not be playing this Sunday which means no footage next week. It's a bummer, I know -- I don't even like football! We'll be working on some other goodies for the site instead so stay tuned...

And Enjoy!

New Video: VIP Gameplay Montage

[Week 3][01/20/13]

This week's gameplay montage is out! We had a bigger turnout this week which led to some hectic games! We stuck to our classic game modes such as Assimilation and Rat Race and tried a modified VIP game as well. All in all it was a fun day, and we got the chance to see some new faces which is always a treat.

Also, we're working on developing personal montage videos for our regulars! If you have any interest in having one made for you, keep showing up for game day and let us know. Here's a little taste of our latest personal montage -- this one is for Allen (NotZer0Six) with a little touch of humor!

Don't forget to like this video!
